How it works

  1. Tell us about the home. Single-wide or double-wide, where it is now, where it's going, and when you need it moved.
  2. We find a transporter. We pass your request to a Texas manufactured-home transporter who serves your route and can get the state permits for the move.
  3. You get a quote. The transporter contacts you with a price and next steps. You decide whether to go ahead.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a permit to move a mobile home in Texas?

Usually, yes. Texas law says a manufactured home that is over the legal size limits for a vehicle can't be moved on Texas roads without a permit from the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV). A double-wide moving on its own axles needs a separate permit for each section. The transporter normally gets the permits. Cities and counties can't require their own permit for the move itself, but local rules for placing the home at the new site can still apply, so check those before you schedule the move.

How much does it cost to move a mobile home in Laredo?

It depends mainly on the size of the home (single-wide or double-wide) and the distance. Teardown, setup, permits, escorts and site access can also affect the price. A transporter can give you an actual quote once they know the details.

Can you help with long-distance moves out of Laredo?

Yes. Tell us where the home is now and where it needs to go, inside Laredo, elsewhere in Webb County, or farther away, and we will look for a transporter who handles that route.

Who handles teardown and setup?

Some transporters offer teardown and setup, and some only haul. In Texas, manufactured home installation is regulated by the Manufactured Housing Division of the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA): installing or re-leveling a home requires a TDHCA installer license, and the Division inspects installations. Mention what you need in your request and ask whoever does the setup for their TDHCA license number.

Are you the moving company?

No. This site is a free quote-request service. We pass your request to an independent Texas manufactured-home transporter, who quotes and does the move.
